Hit series 'Game of Thrones' banned in Turkish army schools over porn, violence

The Turkish army has reportedly banned popular HBO TV series "Game of Thrones" in military academies to keep students away from violence and pornography.

Meanwhile, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), for the first time, introduced classes on Islam in military schools.

The Hurriyet Daily News reported that the forces reportedly updated its secondary education regulations and added a new article to the chapter titled "the protection of students."

According to the report, new classes will be entirely based on "basic religious education, the Quran and the life of the Prophet Muhammad.
