The number of letters that Santa Claus gets from children now totals 8 million each year.
According to the Universal Postal Union said that the letters have risen by a third over the past five years, News.com.au reported.
Despite the fact that the letters are addressed to either Santa, North Pole or to Father Christmas, postal workers around the globe make an effort that they are not returned as undeliverable.
In fact in many countries, on behalf of these Christmas figures, services send children personal replies to their letters.
