The Indian Men's Hockey 'A' Team on Wednesday defeated South Korea 7-3 in a high scoring match here at the Bengaluru Campus of Sports Authority of India.

After the two teams drew 1-1 in the first practice match yesterday, the visitors continued their momentum into the second practice match today as they scored through a penalty corner in the second minute of the match.

Jang Jonghyun's goal put India 'A' on the backfoot and it was not until the 15th minute that the home team could equalise to take control of the proceedings.

It was Akashdeep Singh who scored the India 'A' team's first goal which was followed by drag-flicker Rupinder Pal Singh's well-struck penalty corner in the 16th minute that gave the team a 2-1 lead.

Gagandeep Singh Sr's goal in the 18th minute doubled India's lead to 3-1 while Armaan Qureshi (20' and 54'), Amon Mirash Tirkey (27'), Sumit Kumar (30') added to India's scoreline.

For South Korea, Seo Inwoo and Jang Jonghyun scored in the 48th and 52nd minutes respectively but could not match the home team.
