Paul Van Ass has reportedly been sacked from his position as the chief coach of the Hockey India. However, the sport's governing body hasn't disclosed any reason for the Dutchman's expulsion.
Van Ass, who was appointed as the head coach in January, failed to report on time for the national camp which started on 18 July in Himachal Pradesh.
The Dutchman guided the Sardar Singh-led side to fourth spot in the just concluded Hockey World League Semifinals.
According to reports, Van Ass had a public spat with Hockey India chief Narinder Batra following the quarter-final clash against Malaysia at the HWLS, which may have resulted in the sacking.
