The Union Home Ministry has cleared former Supreme Court Judge, Justice A.K. Ganguly of any wrongdoing in connection with a sexual assault case.
Justice Ganguly had to resign from the post of Chairman of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission following an allegation made by a woman law intern against him.
Three Supreme Court Judges Committee indicted Justice Ganguly.
The intern has refused to record her statement before the Police.
"There was no evidence against Justice Ganguly warranting his prosecution. The allegations pertain to the period after his retirement when the girl was no longer his intern," said the Home Ministry in its order.
