Hong Kong leader CY Leung has reportedly warned that the police will take "all actions necessary" to restore order and ensure that government offices and schools reopen in Hong Kong on Monday.
Leung asked the pro-democracy protesters to allow the government and citizens to "resume their normal work and life" following a week of disruption, reported the BBC.
The statement came after street fights led to the postponement of dialogue between the government and demonstrators.
Protesters oppose Beijing's decision to nominate candidates for the 2017 elections and have been demanding free elections.
