Horror flick 'Ouija' tops weekend box office with $20M earnings

Horror film 'Ouija', based on the board-game, has led the weekend box office with 20 million dollar earnings.

The film made its debut entry this weekend and has beaten the violent Keanu Reeves thriller 'John Wick', which opened with 14.2 million dollars in second place, Deadline.com reported.

Last week's top film, the Brad Pitt World War II action film 'Fury' slid to third with 13 million dollars, followed by David Fincher's thriller 'Gone Girl', while animated fantasy 'The Book of Life' earned 9.8 million dollars and secured the fifth position.
