Delhi reeled under a scorching 43.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday, this also makes it the hottest day of the season and it is likely to get worse in coming days.
The temperature was way above normal while the minimum temperature at 24.8 degrees Celsius remained one degree below normal, a Meteorological Department official said.
It was hot in New Delhi since morning and there was no respite from the burning heat as humidity oscillated between 67 per cent and 16 per cent.
Weather predictions suggest that temperatures will rise in the coming days.
The weathermen have predicted a clear sky for tomorrow and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain at 43 and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
