Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, who recently ended Britain's wait for a men's title at the All England Club for 77 years, has talked about the trauma he suffered as an 8-year-old child after being caught in a shooting incident at his school in Scotland.

According to ABC News, Murray broke down to tears in his interview as he cuddled his dog and said that it had been very tough for him to cope with the trauma, adding that it was not until a few years ago that he actually started to research it.

The report said that Sunday's men's singles tennis victory was a step towards healing, according to the celebratory reaction in his small hometown of Dunblane, which suffered the massacre on March 13, 1996.

Associate professor of psychology at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center in Baltimore, George Everly said that there were some folks who could put it on a shelf and move on but it was still very hard to forget it.
