Huawei P20 Pro tops DxOMark's camera quality charts

Global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei announced that its P20 Pro has been ranked as the best camera smartphone, according to DxOMark Rankings, an industry standard for camera and lens image quality measurements and ratings.

Achieving highest DxOMark's scores, the HUAWEI P20 Pro surpasses the scores of other top smartphones present by taking number one spot in both photo and video rankings.

Backed by world's first Leica triple camera, the P20 Pro comes with a 40-megapixel RGB sensor, a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor, wide aperture to capture crisp, clear details enhancing the user experience. The Huawei P20 Pro also allows long-range photography of up to five times Hybrid Zoom and click details which are not visible from naked eyes. Furthermore, its image sensor captures low light photos with up to ISO 102400.

 

The Huawei P20 Series devices support six-axis stabilisation and 960fps super slow motion, which is four times higher than the standard 240 fps. With Ultra Snapshot mode, the devices can capture an image in as little as 0.3 seconds by just double clicking the down volume button, even from an off screen.

With the world's first On board AI Kirin 970 processor and dedicated NPU, the HUAWEI P20 Series automatically identifies more than 500 different scenarios in 19 categories and selects photography modes and camera settings to deliver incredible, professional-looking images - even for amateur photographers. Also, Huawei AIS steadies handheld night shots for long-exposure images without a tripod.

Brand new to Huawei's advanced camera system is 4D predictive focus. In this mode, the camera predicts moving objects and focuses on them with extreme efficiency to capture minute details of objects in motion. In addition, the Huawei P20 Series features AI-assisted composition, providing intelligent suggestions to frame group shots and landscapes.
