Huge cache of Maoist arms, explosives seized in Chhattisgarh

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday seized huge cache of arms and explosives in forests of Manhakal in Chhattisgarh.

The recovery from a Maoist dump was made during a search operation conducted in the forest area by the 175 battalion of BSF after they got specific information about it.

The seized arms and explosives included two 51mm Mortar HE Bombs, two UBGL grenade, one country-made pistol, one grenade 36, two tube launchings, 30 electric detonators, 10 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, 38 rounds of 7.62 AK ammunition, five rounds of 315 bore ammunition, five 7.62 mm SLR, one Bayonnet, 93 rounds of .22 mm ammunition, three HE Bomb caps, and nine 7.62 mm EFC.

 

The BSF spokesperson termed it as a "big achievement" and congratulated the jawans who participated in the search operation.
