The trailer opens with some flashback dialogues from the first two movies, telling us about the falling relationship between the two races.
A squadron of captured human finally meets Caesar and in disbelief they say, "You're him... you're Caesar. We've been searching for you for so long."
Later, we are introduced to The Colonel, portrayed by Woody Harrelson, addressing his troops to "save the humanity by abandoning our humanity."
The trailer concludes with the Colonel, rappling down a waterfall, to come face to face with Caesar.
The footage is dark and gritty and will be somewhat like the previous movie 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'.
This is the third movie in the 'Planet of the Apes' re-boot series. The two earlier films were 2011s 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' and 2014s 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'.
Helmed by Matt Reeves, the flick stars Andy Serkis as Caesar and Woody Harrelson as The Colonel.
The film is slated to release on July 14.
