Keeping the tradition alive within Garo community, hundreds of people gathered at Ekranipathar Village in Dimapur to be a part of Wangala festival.

Organized by Nagaland Garo Tribal Council, Wangala is the most significant post harvest festival of the Garo community. Many young boys and girls in traditional attires performed folk dances.

The festival is a "thanksgiving" ceremony to Misi Saljong, also known as Pattigipa Ra'rongipa (The Great Giver) for having blessed the human beings with rich harvest of the season.
