The Hyderabad Police on Wednesday confirmed the seizing of a large quantity of explosive materials in the Champapet area of the city. Two people have been arrested, while a third is believed absconding.

According to reports, the police arrested M Madhusudhan Reddy and D Jangaiah, while recovering 1500 electric detonators, 5 gunny bags containing 950 gelatin sticks and two cell phones.

A search is on for Rama Krishna, the third accused.

Madhusudhan Reddy had reportedly been procuring explosive material from Rama Krishna, a license holder for selling explosives, to sell it at a higher price to the rock blasting contractors illegally without a license.
