A major fire broke out at the Pooja Edifice Building at Begumpet in Hyderabad early this morning.
Six fire tenders were pressed into service to put the fire out. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Fire officer S. V. Narayana Rao said the firefighters were successful in dousing the blaze after two hours.
"Today, at around 5.30 a.m., a fire broke out in the Begumpet area. It was the Pooja complex. It houses shops and offices. Six fire tenders turned up, and after two hours of firefighting, we have brought the fire under control, and now, there are no flames. There is smoke now," he said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
