Flaying Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's father Salim Khan, Indian athletics legend Milkha Singh on Tuesday said it is a free world where a person can say what he wants to, but he doesn't pay any heed to Salim Khan's remarks.
"It's a free world; I can say whatever I want. If Salim ji has said something about me, I don't mind it. If he says that Milkha Singh has said anything wrong, I don't agree with it," Singh told ANI.
"But I do believe people who have given their sweat & blood for Sports should be made ambassadors," he added.
Defending Salman Khan's appointment as the goodwill ambassador of the Indian contingent for the Rio Olympic Games, his father Salim Khan wrote on Twitter: "Salman may not have competed but is an A list swimmer, cyclist and weight lifter. Sportsmen are performing because of sports lovers like us."
"It's not Bollywood industry but the Indian film industry which is the largest in the world. Milkhaji it is not Bollywood it is the Indian Film Industry and that too the largest in the world. The same industry which resurrected you from fading away in oblivion," he added.
