Expressing profound grief over the alleged suicide of renowned lyricist and poet Santosh Anand's son Sankalp, Director General (Homeguard) Kamlendra Prasad on Thursday refused to comment over reports of a suicide note recovered from the former's car.
Sankalp, who was a lecturer at the Rohini-based National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, allegedly committed suicide after jumping in front of a speeding train along with his wife and daughter yesterday.
"I am saddened by this news, we have worked together," Prasad said.
"I haven't seen any suicide note so far and I cannot comment without going through it. The people are talking about it, but I was not in contact with him from the past four months. So, I cannot comment any further," he added.
According to reports, Sankalp was driving to Mathura along with his wife and daughter when the incident took place. While the couple died, the daughter suffered head injuries.
Reports further said that before committing suicide, they had parked the car near Delhi-Agra railway tracks in Mathura's Kosikalan area leaving an eleven page note inside in which they have accused the people for implicating false cases against them and, thereby, held them responsible for their death.
