Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with 'Khoobsurat' opposite Sonam Kapoor has said that he is surprised to see an enormous fan base in India especially from women and is completely flattered by it.

Whilst promoting his new flick in New Delhi, Khan said, "It is very surprising for me that people have appreciated and admired me even with a limited amount of work behind me. I feel honored, especially when I am coming from a different area and exposing that culture and finding acceptance for that.

"As far as the girl's part goes, I can't do much about that. I feel very flattered and it's an amazing feeling but I can't taste the fruit", added Khan.

Khan's small screen outing with his hit television show 'Zindagi Gulzar' helped him gain popularity and made him a well known face in India.

'Khoobsurat' is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapu, and the film also stars Kirron Kher, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Ratna Pathak and Aamir Raza Hussain in supporting roles.

The film is scheduled for September 19, 2014 release.
