Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, inaugurated the first Air Veteran rally here on Sunday.
Air Chief Marshal Raha inaugurated the event in the presence of Air Veterans and four retired Chief of the Air Staff.
The Air Veteran rally, which was held at the Air Force Auditorium, in Subroto Park, was organised by the Directorate of Air Veterans, Air Headquarters.
Senior officials from Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) were present during the event.
AN Saxena, Addl CGDA (Pension), and the officials of pension disbursing banks were also available during the event, which was organised to resolve pension anomalies of the air veterans.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Air Chief Marshal Raha.
The inaugural address was given by Air Commodore AK Patra, Principal Director, Directorate of Air Veterans, Air HQs.
The programme continued for the entire day with an aim to harmonise efforts in resolving payment issues to pensioners.
