IAF Su-30MKI crashes near Tezpur Air Force Base

An Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30MKI fighter aircraft crashed at about 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday, around 36-kilometers south of Tezpur in Assam. It was on a routine sortie.

The aircraft took off at 1217 hrs from Tezpur air base. Both the pilots ejected safely. A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered to investigate into the cause of the crash.
