The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Fatou Bensouda has said she was ready to work with Kenyan authorities to ensure that the radicals, who attacked the Nairobi shopping mall on Saturday, are brought to justice.

Bensouda condemned the attacks upon innocent civilians and said it may constitute a crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, to which Kenya is a State Party.

Al-Qaeda linked terrorist group of Somalia, al-Shahab attacked the mall in Nairobi visited by affluent people, killing more than 62 people and leaving 175 others injured.

Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto is facing crimes against humanity charges for his alleged roles in murders, deportation or forcible transfer of population, and persecution during Kenya's 2007-2008 post- election violence.

However, the ICC Judges excused Ruto to return home to deal with the tragedy at the Westgate shopping mall.
