ICC Women's World Cup: India beat Sri Lanka by 16 runs

The Indian Women Cricket Team on Wednesday registered its fourth consecutive win in the ICC Women's World Cup as they beat Sri Lanka by 16 runs.

After winning the toss, skipper Mithali Raj chose to bat.

Captain Mithali Raj, along with Deepti Sharma, forged a 118-run stand and helped India post a total of 232.

Sri Lanka began cautiously, but lost wickets at crucial junctures throughout the match. Dilani Manodara top-scored with 61.

Poonam Yadav and Jhulan Goswami did the trick with the ball.

Deepti Sharma was awarded as the player of the match.
