The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and fishermen saved the lives of two Pakistan sailors, who had crossed over to the Indian waters off the coast of Gujarat, a day before Kulbhushan Jadhav was awarded death sentence by the Pakistan Military Court on charges of espionage in Balochistan.

The ICG rescued two members of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and recovered bodies of four after their boast capsized in the Indian waters on April 9.

A major search operation was launched after the PMSA chief called up his ICG counterpart in New Delhi for help, sources say.

The PMSA subsequently released seven boats and around 60 fishermen who were being escorted to Karachi port in Pakistan when the tragedy struck.
