The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday reiterated its commitment to the understandings reached at Ufa, Russia, saying India is ready to discuss all outstanding issues between the two countries, if Pakistan is willing to have NSA(National Security Advisor)-level talks on issues related to terrorism.
"We are committed to the Ufa understandings. The two NSAs are to meet to discuss on all issues related to terrorism. We have said that we are ready for NSA-level talks, but the last time Pakistan walked out of it, saying that you don't allow us to do this and we don't accept that," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup told a press conference here.
"If Pakistan is willing to have a dialogue between the two NSAs on all issues related to terrorism, we are all for it. External Affairs Minister mentioned clearly in her speech at the UNGA(United Nations General Assembly),that the only issue on the table is to address the issues related to terrorism, and if we find that the issue has been addressed in a credible manner, we are ready to discuss all outstanding issues," Swarup added.
