The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and the Ivey Business School (at Canada's Western University) have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to create and distribute Indian business cases to be used as classroom teaching tools in universities around the world.

At the signing, Professor Ashish Nanda (Director, IIM-A) and Professor Robert Kennedy (Dean, Ivey Business School) also discussed additional areas of collaboration, including an MBA student exchange program, cooperation on Executive Education programs, and faculty collaboration. Canada and India collaborate on new science and engineering scholarships, reports a Canadian High Commission newsletter release.

In another development related to bilateral cooperation in higher education, twenty PhD students from India will receive approximately Rs. 9.49 crores (CAD 1.92 million) for scholarships to pursue science and engineering programs at Canada's University of British Columbia under a new program, developed in partnership with India's Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
