A near normal rainfall activity is expected over peninsular India till July 30 with several parts of north and east India receiving good rainfall for the next one week.
As predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of north and east India will receive good rainfall, while the central and western parts are expected to witness subdued rain activity in the coming fortnight.
The areas will receive above normal rainfall activity likely over Western Himalayan Region and Indo-Gangetic plains till July 20 and over northeastern states till July 30.
"Monsoon trough is active and likely to shift northwards close to foothills of Himalaya gradually during the next two days," said IMD Director General Laxman Singh Rathore.
"Parts of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, West Bengal will witness good amount of rainfall for the next one week," said Rathore.
