Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday asked his party supporters to immediately refrain from targeting the sister of former party member and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai.

"My request to all PTI supporters is to immediately refrain from targeting Ayesha Gulalai's sister," Khan tweeted.

Earlier, Gulalai had alleged that Imran had sent her inappropriate and explicit text messages and said that the "honour of women is not safe" in the party.

Several PTI leaders had cast aspersions on Gulalai's younger sister Maria Toorpakai Wazir, who is a Pakistani star squash player after surfacing of allegations against Imran.

PTI supporters on social media had "objected" to the clothing of Wazir, while party member Alia Hamza on Wednesday had also brought up Toorpakai in her counter allegations against Gulalai, Geo News reported.

"Gulalai claims that Imran Khan wants to bring western culture, she should first look at her own home," Geo News quoted Hamza as saying.

The PTI chief alleged that the allegations levelled against him were a part of the ruling PML-N's efforts to try and purchase its way into toppling the legitimate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

"After seeing their efforts to get me disqualified & their smear campaigns ag me all fail, PMLN is moving to do what it does best: Try & purchase it's a way into toppling the legitimate KP govt. Rest assured there will be no counter offers/Changa Mangas. Let those who sell their souls expose themselves," Khan said in a series tweeted.
