Former cricketer Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has threatened to choke NATO supply routes to Afghanistan, in case the federal government fails to announce a schedule of talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) by November 7.

PTI is planning to mount pressure on the centre to compel the U.S. to shut down its drone strikes in the tribal regions of Pakistan, the Express Tribune reports.

The PTI lamented the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government for failing to hold dialogue with Taliban, despite full consent given by all political parties in recently held All Parties Conference (APC).

According to the report, the party meeting will also discuss the option of military operation against militants, in case the proposed talks with TTP fail.
