A male nurse and now an independent candidate from Thrissur in Kerala Jasminsha is trying to woo voters ahead of the parliamentary polls with a healing touch.
Jasminsha, who is associated with United Nurses Association (UNA), starts his day by visiting each and every household along with his cadres and introduce himself. And once the introduction is done, they carry out a normal health check-up for the elderly people in the family.
Jasminsha says he is not worried about winning or losing the elections and is satisfied with his campaigning as unlike other political parties who waste millions of rupees on advertisements and publicity, he is benefitting the people.
"Three people are supporting me for door to door election campaign. We are thinking of going to each and every house. We are working in a group of 300 people. We have already visited 3.5 lakhs (350,000) home. We have a lot of expectations and most importantly, we are very happy to be able to reach out to people through this campaign," said Jasminsha.
Voters in the city also expressed happiness over availing free health services and said the members are doing a valuable thing for the society.
