India A has achieved a clean sweep of the three-match one-day series against New Zealand A with a win in the third and the final ODI at Vishakapatnam on Thursday by two wickets.
However, the tourists, who lost the first two games by six wickets, went down fighting in the final game by scoring a competitive 290-9 from their 50 overs, although Indian managed to reach the final target of 291 despite being eight wickets down in the final over.
According to Stuff.co.nz, with India needing 25 from the final three overs, Mandeep Singh hit two fours and a six leaving the hosts just seven for a 3-0 sweep.
Meanwhile, Anton Devcich top-scored for New Zealand A with 66, his teammate Corey Anderson was next with 59 and captain Tom Latham scored 53, while for India A, Ashok Menaria scored a 50-ball 69 while Kedar Jadhav scored 57.
New Zealand A will now travel to Sri Lanka for two three-day matches and three one-day matches against Sri Lanka A, the report added.
