India, Australia begin delegation level talks in New Delhi

Delegation level talks have begun between India and Australia after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott met today in the capital.

Prior to this Abbott also handed over rare artifacts to Prime Minister Modi.

Earlier today, Abbott, who is on a two day visit to India, had confirmed that he will sign the nuclear cooperation agreement in the capital with Prime Minister Modi, allowing Australia to sell uranium to India.

He had also met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, prior to which he received a Guard of Honour at the President's House. He also paid a tribute at the 'Amar Jawan Jyoti' in New Delhi.
