India books Hockey World Cup spot by beating Malaysia 2-0 in Asia Cup semi-final

India have ensured their place in the Hockey World Cup after they beat Malaysia 2-0 in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup being played in Ipoh.

According to The Star, India, who got their goals through defender V.R. Raghunath (7th) and Mandeep Singh (60th), will face defending champions South Korea in the final on Sunday.

Malaysia will take on three-time champions Pakistan in the third-placing match, the report said.
