Commenting on reports of fresh incursions by Chinese troops in Ladakh, security and strategic analyst Commodore (retd) Uday Bhaskar on Thursday said that till the time both sides talk it over extensively, the border issue cannot be resolved.
"The border dispute between the two countries is a very serious one. Political compromise is needed over the issue as India China relation is very important. Both sides should resolve the issue objectively," said Bhaskar.
"There will be problems between China and India till we find a solution. So, it is necessary to take it up in a smooth way. No solution can be found till both the sides talk it over and therefore this visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping is very crucial," he added.
Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar said that nothing could be better than finding a way to handle this issue via talking.
Communist Party of India leader D. Raja also said that on one hand India China relations were improving greatly, but on the other hand there were these reports of Chinese incursions.

"Cooperation between India and China is showing great improvement, but on the other hand there are reports of Chinese incursion in India. Both the sides are aware of the situation, and they know what's happening at the borders. Both India and China are in a dialogue process, and are holding high level talks over these issues," he said.
According to reports, the Chinese troops have made fresh intrusions into Indian territory in Ladakh, even as both nations held a flag meeting on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Chumar.
Last week, there were reports that some Chinese troops had intruded 500 meters into the Indian territory and put up tents.
The Chinese troops had reportedly entered almost 25 kilometers in the area of Burtse in Ladakh in August this year.
