Lieutenant General Zhou Xiaozhou on Wednesday said that relations between India and China have experienced twists and turns, but are now gaining momentum for healthy development.
Addressing the joint training contingents of 'Hand in Hand-2013' that concluded here today, he said that with friendly exchanges and win-win cooperation, the two countries have been coordinating and cooperating with each other in international and regional affairs.
"Through close collaboration and concerted efforts, participating troops of the third China-India army counter terrorism joint training exercise 'Hand in Hand 2013' has successfully accomplished all training tasks. Today, we get together here to witness the successful completion of this joint training exercise," he said.
He also said that the lasting amicable relationship between China and India would not only benefit the people of the two countries, but also contribute to the peace, stability, development, and prosperity in Asia Pacific region.
He further said that both India and China have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of the human civilization.
"Both being developing countries, our governments are committed to developing economy, improving people's livelihood, and promoting a state of social, economic development," he added.

The Indo-China joint training exercise 'Hand in Hand-2013', conducted at Miaoergang comprehensive training area, situated 130 kilometres South of Chengdu, China, successfully concluded on Wednesday.
The joint training exercise on counter terrorism was carried out in the right earnest, and consistent with the aim of enhancing mutual trust, understanding and cooperation.
