Special Representatives of India and China will hold their 18th round of border dispute talks in New Delhi on Monday.
This is the first time that the NDA Government will engage China on the border issue after National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was appointed as India's Special Representative in November last year.
Chinese State Councillor and former foreign minister Yang Jiechi, who leads his delegation, is also likely to meet Prime Minister Narendar Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval tomorrow.
The last round of Special Representative talks took place last year, six months after Modi had raised serious concerns about incidents of transgressions along the India-China border during Chinese President Xi Jinping September visit to New Delhi.
