After making it to the World Cup play-offs, India finished their Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group 1 tie with a 4-1 win over South Korea on the final day here on Sunday.

Rohand Bopanna, who was asked to take court in place of Saketh Myneni in the dead-rubber singles tie, rebounded strongly from his first-set defeat to register a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Hong Chung and to eventually make it 4-0 for India.

However, India's hope of completing a whitewash against South Korea was dented as Ramkumar Ramanathan lost his singles tie against Yong-Kyu Lim.

Earlier, Leander Paes and Bopanna guided India to the play-offs of the World Cup in the doubles category, following a 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 win over South Korean duo of Hong Chung and Yunseong Chung.
