India, Malaysia discuss bilateral projects

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday said India and Malaysia discussed bilateral projects in areas such as hydrocarbons.

On the sidelines of 'Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas', Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Dato Seri Utama S. Samy Vellu, Special Envoy for India for Infrastructure and Dato Dr. S. Subramaniam, Minister of Health and President of the Malaysian Indian Congress.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated both the leaders on their contribution to India-Malaysian friendship.

They discussed the follow up to Prime Minister Modi's bilateral visit to Malaysia in November 2015 and the far reaching accords in various spheres of bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister said he looked forward to a visit to India by his Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak.
