Union Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal on Friday said that a National Lab Policy is needed to address the testing, standardization and certification of renewable energy projects in the country.
He was addressing a workshop organized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's Renewable Energy Deployment Programme.
The Minister also said that indigenous technology development and standardization is essential for the growth of renewable energy in the country.
Mr. Upendra Tripathy, Secretary, MNRE emphasized need of proper testing of renewable energy systems following the standardized procedures to ensure the reliability so that they function properly when deployed at site.
