Security expert Qamar Agha on Saturday said that India should be wary of Pakistan's attempt to disrupt peace in the country as the recent developments suggest that they are planning something big.
"It looks like Pakistan is hell bent on creating mischief in India. Firing on the border has increased, infiltration attempts are being made, assets within the country are also active like the recent bomb blast in Bangalore, all these things indicate that they are planning something big," Agha told ANI when asked about detection of a suspicious boat near India-Pakistan maritime boundary.
"I am very hopeful that the Indian security establishment will act, they have done well to intercept one boat," he added.
Agha further alleged that Pakistani army is trying to divert the attention of its people from internal problems by increasing tensions with India.
"By increasing tensions with India, Pakistani army tries to gain greater power within the country. We have seen in the past that whenever the internal situation of the Pakistan worsens, Pakistan tries to divert it to India," he added.
Earlier on Friday, a possible terror attack was averted by the timely intervention of the Indian Coast Guard, when it intercepted a suspicious fishing boat carrying explosives in the Arabian Sea, near the India-Pakistan maritime boundary which lies approximately 365 kilometres away from Porbander.
According to the statement, on being warned, the boat increased its speed and attempted to flee the maritime boundary and set the boat on fire, which resulted in an explosion. Ultimately, the boat burnt and sank in the early hours of January 1. All the people on board could not be saved and the material could not be recovered.
