Champions Trophy Winners India brought back hopes of making the finals of the tri-nation series in West Indies, after stand-in captain Virat Kohli struck a brilliant century in a rain-halted match against the hosts.

According to SkySports, India posted a mammoth 311 runs on the board in their allotted 50 overs but the West Indies were given a reduced target of 274 in 39 overs after rain disrupted proceedings at Port-of-Spain.

However, the T20 champions fell down completely in their chase, getting all out in 34 overs for 171, with Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar scalping three wickets each.

Captain Virat Kohli said in the post-match presentation that he was happy India had not just won but also secured a bonus point in their victory.
