Defending champions India outclassed Sri Lanka 93-44 to retain the South Asian Basketball Championship (SABA) at the Kanteerava Stadium here.

Although the title holders had four players in double digits, Tamil Nadu's centre Aravind Annadurai emerged as the top scorer with 22 points, including one three pointer.

With the win, India also qualified for the FIBA Asia Championship in China in September.

While India bagged the gold medal, Sri Lanka and Nepal finished second and third respectively.
