India thrashed Zimbabwe by 58 runs in the second One Day International (ODI) played here on Friday to take 2-0 lead in the five-match ODI series.
Zimbabwe struggled to chase a target of 295 set by India and could score only 236 for 9 in the stipulated 50 overs.
Earlier, put to bat first, Shikar Dhawan (116) hit his third ODI century and Dinesh Kartik's 69 propelled India's score to 294 for 8 in the stipulated 50 overs.
Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers with four for 41, while leg-spinner Amit Mishra dismissed two Zimbabwe batsmen.
The two teams will play the third match of the series at the same venue here on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the fourth ODI between India and Zimbabwe has been posted by a day as the African country is going to the polls on July 31. The match will now be played at Bulawayo on August 1.
