The United States of America (US) Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday said that India and US can help to forge a new era of shared prosperity and security for millions of people across the world.
"If we work together, I am convinced that the world's oldest democracy and the world's largest democracy can help to forge a new era of shared prosperity and security for hundreds and millions of people across India, Asia and across the world," said Kerry during his speech at the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
"We can do more together and we must do more together. I want to ensure that our economic relationship grows stronger in every aspect," he added.
Kerry further said that India and US have a common responsibility of upholding democracy for betterment of the people.
"India and US have a common responsibility, common opportunity to prove that democracy can deliver to their citizens. We stand together in freedom and make it clear that no act of terror will ever stop the march of freedom," Kerry said.
