Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that India and United States of America (USA) are committed to fight against terrorism firmly.
He said that fight against terrorism is an important part of cooperation and their safe havens will not be tolerated.
"Both India and US are world's biggest democracies. There are many similarities between both the countries, like India and US are committed to fight against terrorism firmly. This is not only good omen for India or US, but for the whole world. Wherever terrorism will spread its wings, India and US will stand against it," Chouhan said, while speaking at an interactive session at the Indian Consulate here.
Talking about good bilateral relations between both the countries, Chouhan said, "Earlier, former US President Barack Obama was a very good friend of India. Now, the Trump administration is taking forward that friendship. It is very satisfactory that US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was in India recently and his remarks about India and the way Diwali was celebrated at the White House prove that both India and the US will move forward together."
He also said that another fact is that nobody can ignore India.
Chouhan also said that India considered the whole world as "one big family," adding that Indians were also being seen with respect in the United States.
"If Indian doctors don't work in the U.S., imagine what will be the condition of the health of the people here. One third of the Indians here are doctors," he added.
