India women cricket team on Tuesday won by seven wickets from South Africa in the 1st T20 International match at Potchefstroom.
India beat South Africa in the first of the five-match series to mark their highest ever chase in T20Is. It is also the second highest chase in women's T20I cricket.
V Krishnamurthy's 6 runs brought her 50 runs partnership with Mithali Raj and also victory to the match.
Meanwhile, the Indian team's last T20I of the five-match series will be played on February 24 in Newlands, Cape Town.
