The Virat Kohli-led team has won the toss and has opted to bat first in the third Test of the four-match series against South Africa here at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium on Wednesday.

India, who is currently leading the series 1-0 following their 108-run win in the first Test, will aim to clinch the series.

The second match between the two sides ended in a draw due to persistent rain and wet outfield.

Meanwhile, South Africa, who have not lost a Test series abroad since 2006, have now come to a do or die situation where they will have to win the third Test in order to stay alive in the series.

As far as the Playing XI is concerned, India will play with their three spinners while the visitors will be without the service of fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander, who were ruled out due to injury.
