The Indian women's recurve team bagged a silver medal at the World Archery Championships on Sunday after losing the nail-biting finale 4-5 against their top seeded Russian opponents at the Christiansborg Palace.
The Indian trio of Deepika Kumari, Laxmirani Majhi and Rimil Buriuly squandered a two-set lead and eventually lost the tie breaker 27-28 to winning trio of Inna Stepanova, Ksenia Perova and Tuyana Dashidorzhieva.
Earlier, compound marksman Rajat Chauhan gave India its first-ever individual medal in the World Archery Championships when he claimed a silver medal in his event.
