Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Gautam Bambawale presented his credentials at a ceremony in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Bambawale was appointed as high commissioner to Pakistan in December last year.
"My work is that of an ambassador of India to Pakistan. We want to improve the relationship between Indian and Pakistan. We want to strengthen our relationship between Indian and Pakistan and that will be my effort while I am posted there," Bambawale said while leaving for Islamabad last month.
Bombawale, who was earlier India's envoy to Bhutan, replaced T C A Raghavan after his retirement.
