A fortnight long event marking 'Hindi Diwas', organised by the Indian Consulate General, Anju Rajan, concluded in Nepal's Birgunj city recently.
Several literary writers participated in the event held to revive Hindi literature and the contribution made by famous writer B.P. Koirala in Hindi literature
"We are directed to celebrate this event and organise events to revive Hindi language. Our officers are boosted to work in Hindi literature," said Indian Consulate General Anju Rajan.
"The event was celebrated to mark the contribution made by a famous writer B.P. Koirala on his birthday day and today is the closing ceremony. I am very happy that artists, writers from both Nepal and India participated in the event and people of Birgunj, who are ardent lover of Hindi, are enjoying the event," she added.
'Hindi Diwas' is celebrated every year on September 14.
