Indian Forbes 30 Under 30 invited to speak at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

Yashveer Singh, Director of Ashoka Innovators for the Public's youth program has been invited to speak at London School of Economics and Political Science's India Forum. An annual daylong conference, LSE SU India Forum (LIF) 2018, is scheduled to be held this week on 3rd March.

The event is organized by the students of the London School of Economics and Political Science. The theme for this year's LSE India Forum 2018 is 'India in the Global Landscape'. At the event Yashveer will be speaking at the "Change" panel.

"We are living in historic times where rate of change is exponential and it requires our youth and children to be enabled to deal with such fast pace change around them. The success of our country will depend on what proportion of youth practice and know that they are change makers and what percentages of the stakeholders know that they have a successful or failing community depending on whether or not they are building a culture where every young person is a change maker. I will be addressing LSE students on how everyone a change maker culture will help our country which has largest youth population in the world," said Yashveer Singh, Director of Ashoka Innovators.

 

Amongst other things, Yashveer will also highlight the efforts of Indian youth and social entrepreneurs in bringing positive change in the country. Previously, for his work in the field of social entrepreneurship, Yashveer has been recognised as one of the Forbes30 under 30 social entrepreneurs in Asia in the year 2016 and was felicitated by Vice Chancellor Social Impact Award by University of Oxford in 2014.

Notably, Ashoka Innovators for the Public is world's largest network of social entrepreneurs and has created opportunities for social entrepreneurs around the world to connect, collaborate, and provide value to one another, multiplying the capacity of each social entrepreneur to improve more lives and to create positive social change. Through its Youth Venture program in India, Ashoka has identified and built a community of over 100 teen change makers from across the country in last 2 years.
